Jakarta – DPP Chairman of PDI Perjuangan Djarot Saiful Hidayat said the teachings of the First President Soekarno about the values contained in Pancasila, were still very relevant in dealing with the crisis of the COVID-19 epidemic in the country.
“In the condition of COVID-19, Bung Karno’s Month (BBK) Remembrance continued and was very much felt. It turned out that Bung Karno’s teachings were really needed by the Indonesian people. The spirit of togetherness, solidarity, mutual cooperation, religiosity, deliberation for consensus, human values, compassion and social justice are translated in the form of policy regulations, “Djarot said in the IV BBK National Webinar 2020 with the theme ‘Political Health of Self-Reliance’ organized by the Education and Training Center of the PDIP Center, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to the former governor of DKI Jakarta, if every citizen applies the values of Pancasila, then it can build the synergy between nations.
He also expressed his gratitude for Indonesia to have Pancasila which is the nation’s big capital to face various problems in the future.
We are grateful to be awarded the Pancasila which was dug up by Bung Karno from the land of Indonesia as a provision for realizing a prosperous Indonesia. A value that is timeless and tested in the struggle of the Indonesian people. Never waste it, don’t leave Pancasila values that have been explored by Bung Karno and presented to the Indonesian people,” said Djarot.
Djarot, who is also the Bung Karno’s Month Committee, added that Bung Karno’s Month commemoration was nearing its end.
The series of events are carried out in various ways, namely with webinar discussions and competitions.
He also hoped that this event could actualize Bung Karno’s ideas in a contemporary way, so that Bung Karno’s ideas would continue to be remembered by the current generation.
“Ms. Megawati wants the Bung Karno’s commemoration in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic to demonstrate the spirit of standing on our own feet.
